The Four Questions that Every Leader Must Ask

To do good work is a great challenge. We need tools to help us think clearly about how to achieve our vision for a better world. Through many conversations with people I began to see patterns that helped me better identify what was happening in people's organizations. As a result, I developed a set of conversation guides that can be download for free at http://edbrenegar.typepad.com/AllIMPACTDiagrams.pdf . The video is a beginning explanation of the use of these guides. The Four Questions can be used in a variety of ways. You can use them as a future planning tool. "What is the impact that we want in the future?" You can you them for an assessment of a current situation. "What was the impact of our meeting today?" Or, you can use them as a problem solving tool. "What is keeping us from achieving the impact we desire?" The benefit from asking the Four Questions is greater clarity about what you seek to achieve, along with increased awareness of the situations that you are in.
