Awesome! I'd love to hear your ideas on how to make Futureshifters more interactive. We have over 600 members with people joining all the time, so the more ways to engage the better. When is a good time to meet up? Maybe this weekend?

Thanks Brooke, would you mind reposting your comment on my site? It would be good to share your comments with my other readers. OMSEI is a definite need and I appreciated the discussion on this in the forum. I didn't really address this in my pos...

This is a cause that doesn't get enough attention. I didn't hear about it until I saw the vagina monologues for the first time. I'm glad more and more momentum is pushing for putting the word out about war atrocities and women's rights. Thanks Annie

First you should know I copied this from my website because I'm lazy:
Dwight is a social entrepreneur who’s always busy trying to think of ways to incite people’s concern for one another. Growing up in Atlanta, his family instilled in him the value of giving even when means to do so were limited. He studied International and Intercultural Communication in Sacramento, CA which eventually lead him to teaching in Thailand. Now his goal in Bangkok is to build a community where people can collaborate to change the plight of the urban poor, while inspiring people around the world to tackle issues in their communities.

Spare Change: Internet Homeless Social Entrepreneurs

Social entrepreneurship has a home on many websites on the web, so why are entrepreneurs still sleeping outside? If we really believe they have a role to play in changing development and reforming how we conceptualize philanthropy, then we have to respond to the dangers of being internet homeless.

Can you spare some change?

I mean it's cold out and I can't even buy a retweet.

Do you know what it's like trying to keep these ideas for change warm while you walk by overlooking me?!

Enough is en… Continue

How to Use Social Meetings and Tweetups As Platforms For Change

We’ve been busy building a community where people can collaborate on actively creating change. From posh parties to taking over street vendors, we’re having fun and making a difference in Bangkok. So as the world gears up to celebrate Twestival and many of you are brainstorming other ways to support charity through social media, I wanted to share a few things that have made our events successful.

You don’t have to be using social media to benefit from these tips. They can be applied to almost a… Continue

The Truth About My Degree in Social Entrepreneurship

“What is philanthropy anyway? Isn’t that for rich people?”

“A social entrepreneur? Is that what you call business people with good hearts?”

Assuring groups I speak to that, “You… Continue
