Stories

Our Futureshifters manager, Brooke Estin (add her as a friend here), has been in communication with several Futureshifters members in order to have them chronicle their personal journeys through the Futureshifters community. So far, we have a young social entrepreneur who is just starting the process of growing her social business and has agreed to do a weekly video journal of her ups and downs throughout the process. Here is a little bit about Annie and what she will be working on... Check it out:

VIDEO JOURNAL #6

Annie's updates you on what has been going on with Something Good since her last video journal as well as reaches out to the community to build her team. She also talks briefly about The Feast Social Innovation Conference in NYC Oct 1-2.

AN INTRODUCTION TO SOMETHING GOOD

Starting to start...

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
So was yesterday, and so will be tomorrow, but today I am starting Something Good.

A short introduction:

Something Good is an online source of good things for you to know.

My name is Annie Wadhams and I am the founder of Something Good. I am 24 years old, I graduated from San Francisco State University in December of 2007 with a degree in International Relations.

I first realized the need for Something Good in my life when I experienced my first anxiety attack in an Introduction to World Affairs class. I didn't feel at the time that anyone was giving me anything to be hopeful about or inspired by. It was all scary and frustrating. So I got the idea to inspire!

Something Good is the current incarnation of that idea. It is still developing and being developed. I am working with some AMAZING people including my own family and friends and a community of people with the will to do something good all over the world!

Please come back and check us out! I will be posting stories about SG's progress and how people all over the world are working together and separately to make a significant change for the better.
