there are plenty of credible sources, I will be checking later. Unfortunately, UNEP has excellent materials but you need to subscribe. You may need to go to UNEP offices in your country, if possible, and in their library, they might be having Journals and newsletters which can really help.

Right now, there is a big environmental conflict in Argentina.
Uruguay decided few years ago to accept a big company called Botnia to install a paper factory close to the river that both countries share. This was the begining of the conflict that it seems to be a never ending story.
We have a lot of information about that if you are interested or if this helps you.
